About Invie

Learn more about Invie, our purpose and features, as well as how our platform works. Discover how users can create profiles, share projects, and connect with others.

How Invie Works

Invie has been designed differently from traditional social platforms. Your "Account" is private; it is not a public profile. Keep it safe.

Rather, Invie provides the ability to create multiple profiles to represent yourself; either your own personal identity, a professional persona or even a fictional persona. The choice is yours.

Verification

Verification is optional to access Invie, but it is required to interact with user-generated content. Registered users are permitted to view all "public" content, however, if you desire to engage with Invie, by means of messaging users or posting comments, you must be verified.

Profiles

Your profiles are how you appear on the internet. Public profiles must be appropriate and suitable to all audiences. You can post content onto your profile, such as images, videos, projects and events. Each profile can also message another profile, including your own profiles.

Primarily for security reasons, each user is granted the option to create one profile by default. As mentioned above in verification, unless verified, this profile can not interact with other users. However, since you can create and upload your own content, a profile is required.

Once verified, you will be able to interact with others via this profile and additionally be able to create more profiles, as you have verified yourself and gained trust.

Account Deletion

Your account is the hub for all your profiles.

Deleting a profile does not affect other profiles. However, deleting your account will remove access to all your profiles; their content, their messages, their data.

Once an account has been confirmed for deletion within the "Settings" page, it will remain accessible for 30 days. If this was done by another person on your account, or a mistake, you can simply log back into your account within 30 days to reactivate your account. No data will be lost.

If your account remains inactive throughout the 30 days, it will be deleted from our database automatically. All data and content on your account after that point will be irretrievable.

How Invie Works

Invie has been designed differently from traditional social platforms. Your account is private; it is not a public profile. It acts as the secure hub for everything you do on the platform, so it should be treated the same way you would any other important account.

Instead of being limited to a single public identity, Invie allows you to create multiple profiles to represent yourself in different ways. You may wish to have a personal profile, a professional profile, a profile for a project or organisation, or even a fictional character. The choice is entirely yours.

By separating accounts from profiles, Invie gives you more flexibility over how you present yourself online while keeping your account details private and secure.

Verification

Verification is optional to access Invie, but it is required to interact with content created by other users. Registered users can browse public content, manage their account and create their own profile, but features such as messaging and commenting are only available to verified users.

This system helps reduce spam, abuse and fake accounts while still allowing anyone to explore the platform before deciding whether to verify their identity.

Unverified Accounts

  • Access to account settings.
  • Access to "My Data".
  • Can create and manage one profile.
    • The option to save posts to your profile.
    • Post content to your own profile page.
    • Your profile will not be discoverable by other users.
    • Cannot message other users or post comments.

Verified Accounts

  • Can interact with user-generated content, such as messaging users and posting comments.
  • Can create and manage multiple profiles.
    • The option to save posts to your profile.
    • Post content to your own profile page.
    • Your profile can be made discoverable by other users.
    • Access to the full social features of the platform.

Profiles

Your profiles are how you appear on Invie. Public profiles must be appropriate and suitable for all audiences. Each profile can have its own identity, content and activity.

You can post content to your profile, including images, videos, projects and events. Profiles can also message other profiles, including profiles that belong to your own account.

For security reasons, every account begins with the ability to create one profile. As explained in verification, unverified profiles cannot interact with other users, but they can still create content and build their profile.

Once verified, your profiles gain access to community features and you may create additional profiles. Verification helps establish trust within the platform and unlocks the full experience available to users.

Account Deletion

Your account is the central hub for all of your profiles.

Deleting a profile only affects that specific profile. Other profiles on the same account will remain unchanged.

Deleting your account is different. Since all profiles belong to an account, deleting the account will remove access to every profile associated with it, including their content, messages and stored data.

After account deletion has been confirmed through the Settings page, the account will enter a 30-day recovery period. During this time, you can log back in at any point to cancel the deletion and restore full access. No data will be lost during this period.

If the account remains inactive for the full 30 days, it will be permanently deleted from our database. Once this process has been completed, the account and all associated data will be irretrievable.
